The Sahara

Starting with the largest; the Sahara. Stretching across North Africa, the Sahara is a place where the heat is palpable, the sky is endlessly blue and the dunes seem to roll on forever. The thrill lies in the sheer scale of it, the isolation and the knowledge that you’re in one of the most challenging environments on Earth. It's a place where ancient caravans once journeyed, carrying spices and stories across continents.

The Atacama

In stark contrast to the Saharan sands, the Atacama Desert in South America is one of the driest places on Earth. But don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s barren. The Atacama is a landscape of contrasts: salt flats, geysers and the occasional oasis. Trekking here feels like walking on another planet, with Mars-like red rocks and surreal, lunar landscapes. The night sky, untouched by light pollution, offers an unparalleled view of the cosmos, a dazzling spectacle of stars that makes you feel wonderfully small.

The Namib Desert

Possibly the oldest desert in the world this place is a photographer’s paradise with its towering red dunes and stark, white clay pans. You can almost hear the ancient whispers of the wind as it sculpts the landscape. It’s a place where the desert meets the sea, creating otherworldly beauty that’s hard to find anywhere else. Enjoy the sunrise at the dunes of Sossusvlei and hike to the top of the epic Dune 45.

Wadi Rum

Moving to the Middle East, Wadi Rum is often called the 'Valley of the Moon' and for good reason. This desert in Jordan is a kaleidoscope of red sandstone and granite rock formations, sculpted over millennia by wind and water. The landscape is dotted with towering cliffs, vast valleys and ancient petroglyphs. Trekking through Wadi Rum is like walking through a natural cathedral, with the walls of rock rising steeply around you.
