Can I fly from a UK regional airport?

It is sometimes possible for us to book flights from regional UK airports. Please specify on your booking form which airport you wish to depart from and our flights department will contact you with a quote.

Can I book flights for alternative dates to the group?

If you would like to extend your holiday by a few days we are happy to organise additional hotel nights or you might want to consider one of our organised extensions. In either case we will contact you with a revised flight quote based on your revised travel dates.

I have special dietary requirements. Will you advise the airline?

On most long-haul flights it is possible to request a specific meal. Please ensure that you inform the KE office of this well in advance. Please note that on certain short-haul flights meals are no longer provided, although snacks can usually be purchased onboard.

What is the baggage allowance on my flight?

KE is not responsible for excess baggage charges. Please ensure that you aware of the baggage allowance on the airline that you are travelling with. Note that sometimes if you are changing planes en-route that there maybe a different baggage allowance and this might also occur on domestic flights. If you are travelling with a bike please ensure you are aware of the specific bike baggage limitations on the airline. Please contact the KE flights department if you are unsure of your limit.

What is a 'Land Only' trip?

The Land Only price includes everything except the cost of the international flights and you are responsible for making your own way to the beginning of the trip. Information on where the trip starts is clearly laid out on the individual holidays on the website, brochure and in the Trip Notes.  When you book a Land Only Package we will give you details of the hotel to be used by your group and the date on which you should meet.
With diverse clientele joining our trips from around the world and increasingly sophisticated online booking technology, many of our clients choose to book their own international flights.  The proliferation of no-frills / low-cost airlines means there are now some destinations (such as Geneva and Marrakech) where it makes sense for clients to book flights directly. For holidays to such destinations we only show the Land Only price.
It is important that you check that your chosen holiday has reached the minimum number required and is 'Guaranteed to Run' - BEFORE paying for your air tickets. The trip status is shown next to each departure on the 'Dates and Prices' page for each trip.
Land only clients will need to forward their full flight details including the airline, flight numbers, departure and arrival times to the KE office as soon as your flights are confirmed.

Are airport transfers included?

If your own flight arrival and departure times allow you to take advantage of the group airport transfers then we can include these at no extra charge. Details of the timings of the group transfers can be found on the Dates and Prices page of each trip.  Alternatively we can arrange private transfers for you to the start point of the trip, please contact the KE office for a price.

Are internal flights included in the cost of my holiday?

These may or may not be included in the Land Only Package. Please check the ‘What's Included' page on the individual trips. In certain circumstances when the Internal Flights are included we ask for a higher deposit to allow us to purchase these flights as soon as if the trip is guaranteed.

What happens if I book my own flights and my trip is cancelled?

If you are purchasing your own air tickets, you should be aware that most of the cheaper airline tickets available for sale on the internet or from low cost carriers are non-refundable in the case of cancellation. For this reason we strongly advise you check the rules of the ticket when you make a flight booking, and check the limitations of any cancellation insurance policy you have. We cannot be held liable, in the unlikely eventuality that we should be forced to cancel your trip, for losses incurred relating to any flight booking you have made yourself.
