Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Have To Share A Room?

You do not have to share a room if you prefer to stay alone. We offer the option to pay extra for you to have your own room or tent. However please be aware that this may not be possible if you are staying with locals in homestays, or in mountain huts or lodges with restricted space. But in these cases, it’s all part of the experience.

Do I Have To Pay More As A Solo Traveller?

No. On 99% of our trips we don’t charge a compulsory single supplement if you’re happy to share with someone else. The majority of rooms are twin sharing and we would always only ever pair you up with someone of the same sex and if possible of similar age.

Will I get time to myself?

Most of  the time on our trips you’ll be exploring with your group. This also includes sitting together for meals such as breakfast and dinner, so you can chat to your fellow travellers and share stories. However, we all know how downtime is important, so there is also the opportunity to have some space to yourself. Allocated free time allows you to explore on your own and enjoy some valuable relaxation time away from the group. Or, if you prefer, you can carry on exploring with the people you meet - it’s up to you.

What Is It Like To Travel Alone?

While it can be daunting to travel solo for the first time, it is a unique experience which allows you to build your confidence and see the world on your own terms. Our tour guides and groups are extremely welcoming and will be able to lend a helping hand where needed. As our group solo trips are a shared experience, relationships and bonds form quickly but there is still flexibility to be independent and have some time alone. Many people make life-long friends on our trips and often go on to book further adventure trips with us. If you’re interested in booking a solo holiday with KE Adventure Travel, get in touch with our team today and we can help you find a trip to suit you. We have a broad selection of destinations and trip types, including solo activity holidays such as walking and trekking, cycling, climbing holidays and more
