Once you’ve identified the adventures that interest you most, we recommend you download the ‘Trip Notes’. These provide a detailed itinerary and give details of the nature and difficulty of the terrain, local climatic conditions, equipment requirements, as well as a reading list and details of available maps.

Through our long experience of exploring the four corners of the earth, we’ve developed a wealth of knowledge on everything from what weather to expect, to the best clothing to take on your travels.  In addition to theTrip Notes, our Travel Advice pages provide information to further help you plan your ideal adventure.

As KE clients travel from all over the world, we use both metric and imperial units of measurement, i.e. you will see altitudes listed in metres and feet, distances in kilometres and miles and temperatures in centigrade and Fahrenheit. All conversions are approximate.

If you can’t find the information you are looking for, or require further advice, please remember you can always speak to one of our experienced members of staff who are always more than happy to help.

Travel Aware website logo 2As a reputable tour operator, KE has joined the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office's Travel Aware campaign. ‘Travel Aware’ aims to make sure that all travellers abroad are properly prepared before setting out overseas and have independent advice.

The emphasis is on:

  • Seeking the FCO's advice about the countries to be visited before departure
  • Having adequate travel insurance
  • Following local laws
  • Avoiding taking risks with money and possessions whilst abroad.

For the latest travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office check:  www.gov.uk/travelaware and follow @FCOtravel on twitter and facebook.com/FCOtravel.

KE treat the safety and security of all clients as the most important aspect of any trip we organise. We would not run any holiday that we did not consider reasonably safe. Should the FCO advise against travel for any reason, we will contact everyone booked to travel to discuss alternatives. We receive regular updates direct from the FCO and are in constant touch with our contacts on the ground. Please be assured that we follow FCO advice very closely; if you have any questions about what the FCO have to say, please call our office.

North Americans can also check out the U.S. Department of State website, www.travel.state.gov for essential travel advice and tips.
