Italian High Level Adventure

I worked in the sales team at KE for about two and a half years and a common question is how to transition from trekking to mountaineering; many people may want to climb Mont Blanc for example but don't know how to get the experience required - well here is your answer!

This amazing yet still challenging trip (along with several others that KE offer), can give you the skills and experience to feel confident aiming for those higher or more technical peaks or journeys. While still being enough of a challenge and stunning experience to keep those with prior experience very happy.

The Italian high level trek is a beautiful mix of skills training, experience, glacial travel, alpine flower covered valleys and all being well, a good few 4000m peaks!
The week starts with a full afternoon of crampon and rope skills followed by a full day putting these into practice, which includes an accent of the Breithorn (4164m). A full day without any snow follows on; walking down into a green lush valley and time to test those calf muscles with a long accent over the Passo di Superiore Bettolina - gaining over 700m!
Then back into the snow.... A possible two more 4000m peaks on day 4. Day 5; possibly one of the best alpine days I have experienced, trekking via Lisjoch to the Monta Rosa Hut you are surrounded by many a 4000m peak (some of which might even now be added to your 'to do' list).
The last day is a great fun morning of a 'walk', with a little scrambling, glacier crossing, ladder climbing and views right across to where we began.
After all of this, it might be fair to say... You're a mountaineer now!
