KE Adventure Travel has been operating active adventure holidays throughout the world since 1984. It has grown to be one of the most renowned adventure tour operators in the UK and is one of the market leaders in this sector. The office is in beautiful Keswick in the Northern Lake District.

Anyone joining the company is likely to be passionate about adventure travel and the outdoors. They must also be dedicated to protecting the environment and supporting the company’s pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next decade.


The Role

We are recruiting for an Adventure Travel Consultant to join our busy Customer Sales and Support team. If you are a people person with a natural ability to deliver exceptional levels of customer service, we would love to hear from you. Especially if you have adventure travel experience and a love of the outdoors.

As an Adventure Travel Consultant you will be sales-focussed, and driven to optimise sales, whilst delivering a fantastic customer experience.


Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE as a minimum.

  • Good with numbers and the written word

  • Computer literate and competent using MS tools – especially Word and Outlook

  • Excellent organisational and self-management skills

  • A people person with great interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people from all backgrounds and walks of life

  • Fun, friendly and caring with lots of positive energy

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred but not essential


Working Hours and Location

We are recruiting for a full-time position (37.5hrs), but will consider applications from those wishing to work part-time, or with non-standard hours.

Standard hours are generally 09:00 to 17:30, but this role will include some late shifts and Saturdays on a rota basis. The role will be based in our office/shop in Keswick, Cumbria.

We are currently hybrid working, and expect this to continue (for those who would like to), with the balance of office and home working being continually reviewed as the needs of customers, the business and team members evolve.

Being flexible is key. We are a relatively small team and it’s a seasonal business, so all team members must be willing to help/support other roles or parts of the business at any time.
