Excellent trip, really enjoyed it.
Tastes and Trails of North Macedonia
This was an excellent trip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Tricky to get to Macedonia from Scotland, so we flew to Sofia and took a bus to Skopje. This worked well, and avoided having to go to Luton. The weather was a bit wet the first couple of days. Our guide, Danko, did a good job adapting the treks to suit the conditions. The hikes were all great - we hardly saw another walker until the last day. The first day was rather short, but maybe that is just to gauge fitness levels. Wednesday is a res t day in Orhid - we would have preferred more walking in the hills. Tito's Peak is no longer in the programme - maybe it could be an optional climb on the free Wednesday? Macedonian food is great - healthy and plenty of it. Lots included in the price. Not much choice though, so if you are fussy about food this may not suit. Hotels were of a good standard, especially in Skopje and Jancse. Skopje is an interesting and unusual city. The boat trip on Sunday was a bit low key - could have done a longer walk and not bothered with that. The Friday climb to Magoro was super - cracking weather and views into Greece and Albania. A good level of fitness will help you enjoy the trip at its best. Overall, great value and highly recommended - before the tourist hordes discover Macedonia.

Good weather and good walks
Walking Austria's Salzkammergut

We enjoyed our walking holiday, however the local agent did not give us up to date route notes. Because the path was closed at a number of locations we had to make our own diversions, which resulted in us walking approximately 2 miles along a main road, not what we had expected. We have complained to the local agent who acknowledge their errors.

KE Adventure reply

Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your holiday. We have discussed the path closures with our local agent and now have an alternative route for this day which avoids the road.

Fabulous walking in a beautiful area of Italy.
Walking Wild Tuscany
I didn`t know much about this area of Italy before but can now say it is a hidden gem; the beechwoods, airy summits, snow flecked ridges, characterful villages and wonderful food and accommodation on an idyllic Tuscan farm all added up to the best holiday I`ve had for years. True the weather helped a lot being largely fine but I can`t speak highly enough about our local guide Stefano and our hosts Jamie and Ailsa, all of whom constantly went out of their way to make my holiday run smoothly. Ever y chance I`ll go back again in future!

A journey of a lifetime
Everest Base Camp Trek

Reaching base camp was the goal. But the journey there and back was more than I had dreamed of. To experience the culture, share this with a fantastic group of likeminded people, interact with the locals and learn about their way of life, walk across suspension bridges, visit Buddhist and Hindu temples, was a real joy and privilege. All of this, in one of the most beautiful scenic settings I have ever seen.

Epic adventure
Ultimate Toubkal Weekend
The trek up Mount Toubkal has been something we (Dipali and Jessica) have wanted to do for years. After much research we decided to book our adventure with KE and it was the best first step we had taken. From start to finish KE have been excellent in answering any queries we had as beginners, this filled us with more confidence in them to guide us. Once we arrived in Marrakech we were met by our guide Rachid. As a guide he explained the next couple of days to us in full detail and also introduce d us to the rest of our group. The first night you have a welcome dinner and get to know the rest of your team which is a great ice breaker. We were extremely fortunate to have a wonderful like minded group who were all excited like us for the next 2 days ahead. The group hotel surprised me as I was expecting a very basic stay, however it was clean, comfortable, staff were friendly and the location was bang in the centre of the city, plenty of time to sight see (flight time dependant). The next day we promptly set off to Imlil to start the most exciting adventure we have ever done. We all successfully summited which we couldn't of done without the knowledge and guidance of Rachid. Rachid has been a major factor in the success of our group completing their goal. I in fact had a bad knee on the day to Imlil which restricted my speed and movement, with all the pain I still managed to summit and held Rachid's hand all the way safely down. As a guide he is phenomenal and whilst our safety is his priority I still feel he went beyond his duties to look after us all. We highly recommend the trek with KE which is suitable for all levels, especially as their guides are amazing. Thank you for an incredible weekend full of memories and friendships. Jessica & Dipali

Great Experience
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
We had a wonderful experience on this classic trip. This was a real small-group experience (there were 6 of us, plus our guide Victor, plus a support staff of 7 and about a dozen horses - all of which were amazing). We really enjoyed every aspect of the trip but Choquequirao was perhaps the highlight. It felt like we had it all to ourselves and it really is an incredible site. A few tips for future travelers: Bring toilet paper. There will be some sort of shower facility at all campsites - most of them are however cold only. Be prepared for a range of temperatures as it gets quite cool at night and can be very warm in the sun, during the day and especially at the lower elevations. Bring good sunblock. There are biting insects at most sites so bring repellent - I didn't use any. I did get some bites but I'm used to Canadian mosquitoes so I didn't feel it was too bad. Long sleeves will of course be very helpful. Bring a good hat with a wide brim - the sun is intense. The terrain varies but I had reasonably good trail runners and they were sufficient. Light hiking boots would suffice. We got fed very well - four solid meals a day plus snacks - no need to pack any extra. Ear plugs may be helpful - the roosters get started very early. Other campers may be also getting up early to leave and it can get noisy.

Outstanding Experience
Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon
The Everest Marathon (including EBC Trek) was a truly unique and experience. Combining the marathon ensured that we got the real EBC experience, with all the best bits of a trek. The team assembled to support the entire duration of the visit were excellent. Special mention should go to our Guide- Raj- who went above and beyond to accommodate for EVERY need within the group. He is a true leader and ensured that we were all safe, well and enjoyed every moment. I would not hesitate to recommend thi s tour

Spectacular scenery and wonderful experience on Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
Second time that we’ve chosen KE after a great trek last time. A brilliant trek with varied and beautiful scenery. The guide Victor made sure that we didn’t miss any of the views or the flora and fauna. The difficulty of the trek was exactly as described on KE’s website. Although the trip culminates at Machu Picchu which is fantastic the Choquequirao site was exceptional too, with a lot less people. Our guide Victor was excellent and made sure that we were informed and looked after. The cr ew were also brilliant and the meals were amazing thanks to the chefs Francisco (Pancho) and Samwel; they should be on Masterchef as the meals they could make up a mountain were unbeliavable. This trip was an amazing experience and was enhanced by Victor and the crew and our four other travellers. Definitely take 100+ Deet and I kept long trousers and a long sleeve shirt on because there are a lot of biting insects.

Wowster - more than just a trek
Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Fantastic well organised trek along the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Difficult to squeeze 8kgs of kit for 5 nights (2 in hotels, sacred valley and Machu Picchu town) but achievable if packed sensible. Not forgetting 2kg is your sleeping bag. Lots of hints and tips out there on what to pack so you will be best prepared if you do your homework first. Little useful tip is a stash of doggy bags for rubbish like toilet tissue / fruit cores etc things you accrue on the trail rather than stuffing it in you rucksack. We had a pack of cards, which brought the day to a cheery end, especially when the guide won every game ! Don’t forget your ear plugs as tent walls ain’t too thick to keep out that unwanted fellow trekker snores. The trek is more than just Machu Picchu, although the city was a gem to reach at the end of 4 days trekking. Absolutely out of this world. Through the marathon distance, we reached incredible heights across 3 separate passes, the views are out of this world along with glorious wildlife and wonderful colours. The trail has so much to offer and the guide shared so much of his incredible beautiful country with us along the way. There are Plenty of photo opportunities, I took over 1000 pictures, take a battery pack for your electronic devices, there is no WiFi ( yippee! apart from in hotels ) but plenty of laughs which make incredible memories and as you go through different stages you carve a bond with your fellow trackers that will last a life time. High Altitude affects everyone in different ways, shortness of breath to nausea/ dodgy stomach, but please take care as they offer a hot coca leaf drink, ( which is legal in Peru) it is derived from the coca plant. This may stay in your system for a few days after and is illegal in the Uk, it may come up on a drug swipe. There are plenty of other drinks to have though. Just take your time with the high altitude especially in Cusco and during the sacred valley tour. Wonderful trip. Don’t hesitate, just book it, as one day it may be restricted to travellers.

Amazing simply amazing
Ultimate Toubkal Weekend
Excellent trip, guide very helpful and knowledgeable. Accommodation at refuge basic but fine for a nights stay. Food at refuge of good quality. Islane hotel clean good food and helpful staff. Bring Dirhams to spend on trek, large bottles of water vary in price but usually no more than 20 Dirhams, you will need plenty of water. Plenty of places along the route to refuge to buy water as well as juice, chocolate and have some lunch. Overall do this trip, a great challenge, a chance to meet new peop le, experience a different culture and way of life. A great weekend

Great Organisation and Stunning Scenery
Ultimate Albania Cycling Tour

As my first cycling holiday, this Albanian trip was a great experience. Fabulous mountain ranges, some challenging climbs on roads with not much traffic were highlights for me along with the food which tasted great and lots of it. Accommodation was to a high standard and the guide and driver / mechanic were very knowledgeable and put a huge effort into making sure the group had a great holiday.
