A fantastic trekking/climbing holiday
Mount Toubkal in Winter

A fantastic trip in all ways. Seamless organization. Our guides, Hussein and Omar, were fantastic. Accommodation and food were top notch. A great mountain experience as well. Great conditions, fantastic views. Altogether fantastic.

An excellent way to start the year
Edge of the Sahara Trek

The organisation; guide; food (including preparation) and company was all excellent. The week was so interesting and enjoyable that it felt I'd been away for a month.

An amazing adventure in a wonderful country with friendly people
Mount Toubkal in Winter
This was my first trip with KE and I must say how impressed I was with the organisation of the whole trip. This is truly a great experience if you like snow, mountain's and a challenge. Marrakech is an amazing place with friendly people and feels quite safe for single travellers. As a veggie I thought the food was great and the group made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Hussein and Omar the guides are just brilliant nice honest people that are helpful and have time for any concerns you may h ave no matter how small it may seem. You need to be quite fit to make the summit and it is very cold at the mountain refuge so thermal layers are a must. I would highly recommend taking ski Google's as on the way down to the lower refuge we had a snow blizzard to contend with and goggles are not on the kit list, other than that I can't wait for my next adventure with KE.

Beautiful snowy ascent.
Mount Toubkal in Winter

This is a great holiday with lots of variety and all at a good pace. The mountain climbs were an excellent introduction to winter climbing at 'mid level' altitude. We were lucky to have really stunning views from the summit of Toubkal. Be prepared for extremely cold weather: we had minus 20 degrees Celsius plus windchill, so snow goggles and full face cover were essential!

A well organised holiday.
Walking Undiscovered Tenerife and Pico Teide
An enjoyable holiday organised by Cao and Aaron. The accomodation arranged was comfortable and meals very good. The trip notes for the ascent of Mount Teide were inaccurate and need revision. The notes for the last walk did not match the GPS trail. The meal we carried up to the Teide refuge was filling and similar to meals taken up by other guests. Only a kettle and small microwave oven are available for guest use as far as I could see. With hindsight I might have taken a dehydrated meal with me but the meal provided was ok. The breakfast and lunch on Teide were fine. I enjoyed the holiday, meeting Cao, Aaron and the rest of the group everyone got on well. Please send Cao some more KE tee shirts ( medium) he's only got one! JSE

Awesome Mountain Biking in Morocco
Private Dunmore - Morocco - Ride the Kasbah

An absolutely brilliant mountain biking trip - unbelievable things to see, great and at times tough mountain biking, excellent guide and organisation, good food, nice hotels and wonderful weather. It is pretty tough, especially on the first day with 1800m climbing over 8 hours off road, some of which pretty technical. Definitely highly recommended

Hiking the Andes in style.
Luxury Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu

For the committed hiker this is the ONLY way to experience Machu Picchu. The fantastic lodges and the professionally trained staff made this an adventure never to forget. If anybody is on the fence my suggestion is pull the trigger sooner than later. Enough said.

Fantastic holiday winter walking in Morocco
Mount Toubkal in Winter

Mount Toubkal was a tough challenge, we had high winds on our summit attempt but we all made it! Both Hussein & Omar were brilliant guides; we especially appreciated their advice regarding our crampons and ice axe as this was our first time using them. The food for us as vegetarians was also excellent. We had a brilliant holiday in Morocco, with a great bunch of interesting people and the trekking scenery was breathtaking. One not to be missed!

The Wild Blue
Walking on Secret Sardinia
Eastern Sardinia is truly stunning, in particular the rugged coastline of the Selvaggio Blu (‘wild blue’) south of the Golfo di Orosei. This adventure organised by KE makes the most of the area's natural beauty, combining hikes through remote valleys, up mountain sides and along quiet beaches. There are trails that overlook secluded coves with crystal clear waters that offer the chance for swimming or further exploring among the caves. In addition to the scheduled trip to Cala Luna, our reso urceful guide also planned a trip out to Cala Goloritze for us on the free day - what a glorious setting, a sandy white beach tucked into the sheer cliffside! We arrived by small raft at dawn and climbed up above the cliffs for perfect views, and later in the day another opportunity for a swim. Other highlights included the trek out to the magnificent Gorroppu gorge and tour of an ancient Nuraghe site hidden away in a mountain hollow. On the last day, we hiked up to the highest peak in the Supramonte range for a rewarding panorama of all the places we had visited throughout the week. Though the days were full, there was still plenty of time to soak up the relaxing atmosphere of the traditional town of Dorgali and do a little shopping for local craftwork. In our case, we had a spare day at the end during which we took a boat cruise of the beautiful Maddalena archipelago. Our guide Marta took great care to consider all the needs of the group and to plan the itinerary for each day. I think the quality of the guides which KE partners with really make the difference.

A brilliant tick off the old bucket list!
Jordan's Wadi Rum and Petra
My wife and I had always wanted to see Petra, and it turned out upon discussion with our sons that they wanted to do so as well. Thus, we were able to schedule a family holiday to check it off the bucket list. We wanted a trek as well - we're not ready to settle for bus tours. The combination of Petra with Wadi Rum fit our calendars, so that's what we signed up for. Petra was stunning and well worth the visit. Hiking Jebel Haroun and then returning to the carved sandstone buildings gave us a cha nce to see them in a better light (literally, better light in the late afternoon). Our only disappointment with Petra was how crowded it was; it was nice to get away from the crowds for the camping and peak hiking portion of the Petra segment. Wadi Rum was much more than we'd expected. The silence, the vistas, the stars at night. . .what an experience! The only thing we'd have changed would have been to pack a little warmer for our December visit as it got very cold in the evenings. Our leader and crew took excellent care of us, including delivering a bag (that had been misplaced by Royal Jordanian airlines and reached Amman several days after we did) all the way out to our remote camp site in the desert.

Our most memorable well managed 60th birthday adventure - with basic elements!
The Ultimate Everest Trek
It was my 60th birthday year and this was the highlight. It was almost worth it just for the range of training walks we did together! Then we were off! From the amusing ridiculousness of Kathmandu domestic terminal onwards through landing at Lukla, prayer flags and wheels, yaks, stunning scenery, excellent Sherpa's led serenely and confidently by Phurbar, swaying bridges, energy giving plentiful boring food, woods, mountains, Everest, glaciers, passes, helicopter rescues (not our group), minor a ltitude sickness, endless stunning high peaks around us, the Sherpa memorials and the amazing difficulty of doing anything at over 5,000 m, this was the most memorable holiday we could have done. Sue found the toilets unimaginably disgusting and even from a blokes point of view they weren't good. Overall, we can't stop talking about it and we were pleased to have been in a group of 8 different and interesting personalities, 3 of us being 60 in 2016. Thanks KE, it probably couldn't have been better. Mike and Sue

Fantastic holiday, start to finish.
Morocco Family Desert Trek - Private Mendel

KE Adventure organised a great holiday for us. From being met at the airport to being dropped back again 13 days later we could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks to Omar, our trekking guide in the Sahara, and to all the KE Adventure team back in the UK. The problem you've left us with is to work out where next!!. Steven

A chilly Morocco but wonderful Christmas escape
Winter Sunshine Walking in the Jebel Sahro - Morocco
A great holiday. Almost a disaster for two of our small group who were delayed by fog at Heathrow, missed their connection, arrived a day late and their luggage even a day later. Full marks to the ground agent for enabling them to catch up, missing very little. The walking is excellent, the scenery very varied. Stunning views from the tops of the mountains we climbed. Ali, our cook was a Masterchef. The food was delicious, lots of fresh fruit and veg mainly sourced locally. Wonderful fresh bread baked daily over an open fire. The guide, Hassan was a delight; his English excellent and his breadth of knowledge about Morocco, its history and culture was staggering. Many a happy hour was spent learning about religion, the King, history of the country and the Berbers. The pace was leisurely with plenty of time to take in the views and take photos. The Muleteers were an efficient crew, transporting luggage and gear with care and setting up camp. Our lively little group were great company making it a really relaxing and enjoyable trek. Don't underestimate how cold it can be in December and take layers to cope. Warm gloves essential. Lots of wipes also necessary, as no washing water, except at one camp where there was a well and a kettle full of hot water enabled us ladies to commandeer the mess tent and have a good wash! Bliss! The toilet tent was a bit of a nightmare, rather restrictive in size with four large, often wobbly stones ringing a hole in the ground on which one teetered perilously and attempted, not very successfully to aim. It was enough to cause a sudden and severe bout of constipation in those of a nervous disposition. Marrakech is a bustling vibrant city. We had a super guide for a morning tour, essential in the maze of alleyways of the souk. The two Kasbahs we stayed in, at the beginning and end of the trek were incredible, such luxury! The group hotel in Marrakech was basic but clean and comfortable. All in all a great experience and highly recommended.

A great adventure, both in terms of outdoor pursuits and archaeology.
Guatemala's Magnificent Seven
The trip exceeded my expectations. I had concerns about food hygiene. The food was very good and when not camping we were brought to a different local restaurant for each meal. All were to a high standard. The hotels were clean and welcoming. I had concerns about security. There were armed police at Guatemala City airport and throughout Antigua city and tourist areas. I soon relaxed but the situation outside these areas could be different for the unwary. I had concerns about the local team leade rs. All three were excellent - enthusiastic and painstaking with fluent English. Guatemala has great potential for active tourists.

A great, challenging bike ride, rewarding and always interesting
Santiago de Compostela by Bike
This is a hugely enjoyable and rewarding trip, the best I've been on. It is also a real physical challenge - it is very tough but that adds to the rewards and there is the historical and cultural side as well. There are many great mountain biking days on this trip, some great descents including from Pyrenees and Cantabrian mountains and across the valleys of Galicia. The trails across the Meseta are flatter but then there is the challenge of the distance and heat, and you pass through so many in teresting places on these days. Our guides were very friendly, helpful and organised (and they knew one of the best restaurants in Santiago for a fantastic last meal). Hotels were good, my only minor disappointment being we stayed in large business hotels in Burgos and Leon - otherwise we were in smaller simpler hotels and ate in local restaurants which was much better to my mind. Thoroughly recommended, provided you are fit and determined. At first I was put off slightly by the "fat tyre" designation, like an idiot I initially assumed it meant "easy" but and so glad I went ahead.

A great trek despite significant flaws in the organisation
Mount Toubkal in Winter

Overall, I had a great holiday but I have been extremely disappointed that the itinerary of a mountain trip was not respected and that we did not climb the second 4000m summit. The leader did everything possible to go down in the valley a day before which meant I have been deprived from an other great day of trekking.

KE Adventure reply

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you had a great trek to the summit of Toubkal and we are sorry that you were unable to make the optional ascent of Ouanoukrim. Although it was a majority decision of the group not to spend a third night at the refuge after the climb of Toubkal, we do understand your disappointment and have subsequently spoken to our guides about this.

Superb Himalayan trek off the beaten track
Beyond Kulu

Best organised trek I have had the pleasure of being on. Hats off to Rigzin. Well worth looking at from a scenic point of view if you have done a few treks in Nepal. Peaks might not be as high but scenery has a beauty of it's own. 2 great passes and stunning steep sided valleys.

An excellent short break
Mount Toubkal in Winter
I was after a short mountain break, relatively cheap, maybe somewhere a bit exotic, with snowy peaks and some altitude - the Winter Toubkal trip ticked all the boxes for me! And on top of that the group all got on really well, the weather was kind and the food was excellent! Don't underestimate the cold and spindrift though when the wind blows. You might want to consider taking climbing goggles as well as glacier glasses, and maybe a face mask or at least balaclava/buff. A highly recommended tri p!

An excellent trip to Thailand, and not a beach in sight
Thailand Bamboo and Buddhas Family Adventure
We went on a December 2016 trip and this proved to be excellent timing as the weather was a perfect 20-30 degrees all the time, and there were no mosquitoes. This is a great family trip, with lots to see and do. If I have any criticism it is that it was such a great trip I wish we could have had an extra couple of days built in to the itinerary to relax a bit more rather than always being on the go. Elephants were a great hit. Jungle accommodation is on the basic side of basic, though the food w as fantastic - as it was for the whole trip, you won't go hungry! Our Thai guide was excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Take an eye mask for the overnight train (though our guide managed to persuade the guard to turn some of the lights out on our return journey).

Great, well organised trip in fascinating country
Oman Adventure Trekking

This trip was excellent. Every hiking day was quite different in some way, and each hike was stunning. The food was great, both during the camping and when we ate in restaurants, and our crew was friendly and helpful. It is important on this trip to be aware that it can be very hot for the hiking, and to come prepared for that. Bring shoes that can be worn for both walking and swimming for the optional wadi trip on the last day.
