AMALFI TRAIL
Trails of the Amalfi Coast
One word would be sufficient - fantastic! However, there is a lot more to add, so here goes!

First of all, our guide Giovanni; he was brilliant, very knowledgeable in the history, the nature and the people. He also knew the routes where the masses very often didn’t walk!

The hotel was adequate, good food and pleasant staff. It was also very convenient particularly for the final walk along the path of the gods that started almost on the doorstep of the hotel. Every
day was varied with beautiful scenic walks along quite a stretch of the coastline. Needless to say, the area is magnificent.
Amalfi is quite pretty but extremely busy and catching the public bus is a test in itself. Also, disregard anything you may have experienced with regard to driving, you’ll most likely have your eyes firmly shut for most of the ride from Amalfi to Bomerano.

We were treated to some excellent hospitality along the way, fine food, good wine to sample and a welcome ice-cold beer (peroni) from time-to-time! The week was broken by our ‘free’ day on the Wednesday when we split up with one on a long trip to the coast to swim, some on the trip to Capri, others taking the opportunity to experience a cookery class back in St Lazaro.
Pompeii was very busy but well-worth the trip as was Vesuvius in the afternoon.

All-in-all, my opinion is that the final day, the path of the gods, starting at the hotel and finishing in Positano was the highlight with the ferry for the return. Positano is the multi-coloured backdrop that we often see to highlight the Amalfi coast and it really is lovely. However, as you would expect, it is busy.

We were lucky, I suppose, as the weather couldn’t have been better, the guide (Giovanni) was the best and the small group gelled very well and no blood was spilled throughout the whole week.
A trip I would recommend to anyone although I would add that you do have to have a reasonable level of fitness as there are many, many steps to overcome, both up and down!

Well done KE Adventure.

The holiday was everything and more than I could hope for. Friendly company service from the start of booking to going. Easy transits and completely taken care of during our time in Italy. Giovanni, went over and above to make the hiking enjoyable for all. He set the pace to suit the group and we were all surprised how much we achieved. He was knowledgeable, interesting and passionate about the walk, explaining both the history geographically and all local plants. He found great out of the way p laces to visit away from crowds and introduced us to amazing restaurants and people. Bravo!

Everything was exceptional!
The Druk Path Trek
KE does an excellent job with planning amazing journeys. I have used KE for 4 trips over the years. All of them have been outstanding covering all the details for a safe, enjoyable experience. The staff is great to work with answering all questions. The guides are amazing, very knowledgeable and always available and willing to help in any way. You are the best.

Everything was exceptional! The tents were nice and roomy. It rained a few nights. We were kept nice and dry. The food w
as amazing, very good. Hot meals, fresh fruit and vegetables. Always had more then what we needed. The support team always had hand sanitizer available and hot water available. The support team was so good, so kind, so helpful. They were the best!

Nima was one of the best tour leaders I have encountered. He was so sincere, knowledgeable and a wonderful ambassador for Bhutan. He was always checking on all of us to make sure we felt fine and to see if we needed anything. He was always right there to help with bags, food, everything. He was so informative about the history of his country. He was especially helpful to me, carrying my water bottle and there to hold my hand as we crossed wet, slippery rocks. Yeshi Letho was also an amazing guide. He, too, was one of the best guides, very sincere, knowledgeable, caring.

Nepal, Bhutan and Chitwan extension
Highlights of Nepal and Bhutan

An excellent trip with a full and varied itinerary. Plenty opportunities for walking, temples and monasteries, then rounded off perfectly with rhinos and elephants in Chitwan. Highlights were: unexpectedly getting to see the ladies taking part in the Teej festival at Pashupatinath, sunrise over the Annapurna range, seeing Everest from the air, everything about Bhutan (but especially the Tiger’s Nest monastery), seeing elephants and rhinos close up in Chitwan.

Let The Muses Speak!
Sacred Summits of Olympus and Meteora

I never knew Greece had so many rocks! This was a wonderful week from start to finish with good food (limited options in the huts), beautiful accommodations, the hut "experience," excellent views and interesting sites, a dip in the Aegean Sea and a challenging rock scramble in a friendly and welcoming country. Our professional guide, Ivo, was with us throughout and provided his expertise and watchful eye assuring our safety and enjoyment at every step.

Tolga was excellent guide. Very professional and experienced. He had done a lot of research & was very knowledgeable about the history of places we visited. Could identify various birds bushes trees etc. Was very attentive ensuring the pace was suitable for everyone. He was very organised with times /transport/ hotels and inspired the group with confidence. He explained the itinerary clearly and repeated so we all were all aware of what to expect on each day of walk and he handled everything efficiently. An amazing guide who acted to the highest standards. Highlights: Staying in rustic log cabins with outdoor seating. And the food in all locations

The perfect way to see Madeira
Walking in Madeira
This was my first walking holiday and I absolutely loved it. It was a great way to see Madeira, as we travelled to a few areas of the island. I loved the variety of walks, and how we got to see the different landscapes of the island.
Andre, our own personal tour guide and mountain guide, made this trip for us. It was enriching to learn about the island from an authentic Madeiran voice. His passion for the environment, care and responsibility for the group, and sense of humour were brilli
ant.
I would say, however, that the walks at times would warrant this trip being more deserving of a rating of 4 rather than 3, as there were some parts with steep declines and many steps.
We also didn’t love the packed lunches, but managed anyway.
The accommodation was satisfactory, we especially liked the guesthouse in Jardim do Mar. The highlights for me were the Pivo Ruivo hike, and the Porto Moniz natural swimming pools.
Overall, this was an amazing trip, and Andre was the best guide we could have had :) Obrigada Andre and KE

Walking Slovenia's Lakes and Mountains

Utterly brilliant guide. Top professional but also caring as a person. Lea the other guide was wonderful, a brilliantly supportive guide who really cares. Excellent company too. A lovely country with perfect walking and a superb hotel that felt way more than 3 star in many ways. We had to adapt our itinerary because of unexpected weather but Ales and Lea both did this thoughtfully

Camels on the Beach
Camels on the Beach Family Morocco Holiday

We found the holiday a relaxing, interesting and stimulating week. Just what we needed after climbing Toubkal the week before, the food was amazing, the guide Lashan - was brilliant, always there, engaged, seemed like we were all there on holiday together, the thing ran like clock work, tea in the Berber village was the right point, so nice to meet people who really seemed pleased to see us. The guest house was stunning.

A vigorous exploration of the Atlas mountains
One Week Mount Toubkal Trek

The trip lived up to expectations of a quite challenging trek in the wild Atlas, totally different from treks in Europe. The guides Said and Mohammed brought enthusiasm and knowledge to the group, and as a team we gelled well making for a good social and well as mountaineering experience. The pace was a bit slow overall and we were generally rather late into camp. The 1/2 day exploration of Marrakech on the final day is an essential part of the Morocco experience.

Snowy walking in the south of France
Queyras 3000 Metre Summits Trek

A splendid week of hiking in a less well known corner of the Alps. While unseasonal weather in the first few days kept us off some of the summits, Nirmal took us on lower level routes with group safety and enjoyment in mind; thanks are also due to Pascal for transporting us down from the refuge. The highlight was the ascent on new snow of Grand Glaiza, and the panorama that awaited us.

Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu
What a trek, there was 12 of us a fantastic group of people who I hope to remain friends with for a long time. Our guide was Rudy Arqque who was very passionate, organised knowledgeable and person centred. His knowledge about the history and culture of the Incas, the environment and the people was outstanding he had an answer for every question. Rudy, Yoi and his team particularly Juan the chef never failed to dissapoint the food was off Michelin quality well presented using basic utensils at altitude truly a magnificent achievement. Rudy performed an amazing spiritual ceremony/ offering to the mountains which was a fantastic experience. Rudy and his team made every day special and as easy as possible for us. Tents erected food prepared for our arrival hot water bottles when we were cold. We even visited a coffee plantation and got honey straight from the hives still warm. We met the locals including Sylvia who welcomed us into her home meeting her animals and telling us about her daily life in the mountains.
We started early to avoid the high heat of the day. We had Chiquequirao to ourselves camping on the Inca terraces truly remarkable and while Machu Picchu was also magical it was raining and difficult to get a photo without one of the other 6000 people visiting . If you want to hear and see about the Incas then this is definitely the best trek to do although don’t be disappointed when you have achieved the 120K trek and 6000+ metres of total ascent that there is no reward T shirt for Choquequirao only Machu Picchu 🤔

Stunning Family Challenge
Family Teenage Toubkal Ascent, Morocco
With three fit teenagers to entertain to an extent whereby they were too tired, having too much fun or not close enough to wi-fi to access social media the Teenage Toubkal Ascent seemed a like the perfect family holiday challenge.
We enjoyed ever single minute of this holiday, from arrival in Marrakech to the time that we headed off to the coast for our second adventure with KE we were tested, entertained and enthused. Climbing a mountain of this size as a family gave us all a real sense
of achievement, it was a test and in places some of us found it hard but nothing beats that summit feeling. We pulled through, looked after each other made some new friends and achieved something that we all felt proud of.
Morocco is a stunning country and the Atlas mountains breathtaking, we found the acclimatation worked perfectly for us. We spent a day traveling from Marrakech to Imlil up in to the mountains, in the afternoon we visited waterfalls got to know our fellow adventurers and enjoyed the view from the guest house, which was clean and comfortable. We were fortunate to witness a Berber gathering with music and dancing, on our way down from the waterfalls we were swept along in a group of musicians singing and playing drums, it was an amazing experience. On day two we acclimatised with a short walk up to around 2500m and then back to the guest house.
Day 3 was a long day and hot, but the scenery took our mind off any discomfort and the regular mountain cafes serving fresh orange juice provided welcome solace. With around 1600 meters of ascent the mountains became ever more beautiful, whilst there were others on the trail, it was no means busy. We arrived at the Toubkal refuge at 16:00 pleased with progress and ready for an early night.
Summit day, up at 03:30 and on the trail an hour later, moving quickly through the darkness we all felt a real sense of excitement. Under the watchful eye of Mohammed our experienced and attentive guide we made good progress stopping to marvel at our surroundings as the sun came up. Noticing the altitude we paced ourself for the final push, to summit as a family was a special feeling we all felt proud of what we’d achieved so far and proud of each other.
What followed was a leisurely descent in the knowledge that an amazing lunch would await us on our return. The support team on this holiday were amazing the food was fresh plentiful and delicious, the highest standards of hygiene were in evidence throughout.
Day 5 we descended enjoying another amazing lunch cooked by the trail. We were lucky to be joined by some amazing people in our group, they had many stories to tell and advice to impart. Our guide Mohammed was a true mountain man, strong and confident, we were supported throughout.
If you have fit kids with a bit of determination and want the ultimate bonding experience this is the holiday for you.

And now for something completely different
Mountains and Lakes of Kyrgyzstan
A great trip combining the steppes and spruce- and glacier-clad mountains of central Asia with a few cultural highlights. Unlike other treks I have taken, camping was done in fixed camps comprise of spacious yurts or roomy tents. The fixed camps provided power for recharging electronic devices (2 hours per evening), excellent food and guitar-playing hosts. One camp had a sauna. Another had hot springs. It wasn't exactly glamping, but it was pretty comfortable. Kyrgyzstan is a beautifu l country -- distinctly more mesic than neighboring Tajikistan. Personally, I was enthralled with the Tien Shan spruce forests, but then I have "thing" for trees that is probably extreme.

I would highly recommend KE Adventures
Best of the Tour du Mont Blanc

I would highly recommend KE Adventures to all my friends and family because I felt very supported every step of the way, whether it was with reservations, transfer information, additional hotel stays and lastly, with my most excellent tour guide PY, and which is very important as a single female traveler. With great weather, good food and cozy accomodations, and most importantly, Monte Blanc and all it's amazing glory, as a backdrop, every day was a highlight.
