Our trek includes walks through some of the trail's finest sections, with visits to the picturesque 'post towns' of Tsumago and Magome, where cobbled streets and traditional lattice-front houses harken back to Japan's Edo Period splendour. The adventure continues with a challenging 3-day Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, navigating between two grand shrines amidst the sacred mountains. Amidst ancient forests, our path offers views of thundering waterfalls and breathtaking mountain and ocean vistas, immersing us in nature's reverence. The journey concludes with two nights in Sicily, where we'll explore the Baroque beauty of Catania, the hill-top gem of Taormina, and culminate our adventure with a hike on the slopes of mighty Mt Etna. Morocco - Ride the Kasbah

October in Morocco offers pleasant temperatures, making it an ideal time to explore the diverse landscapes, from the bustling markets of Marrakech to the serene Sahara Desert. With comfortable weather and fewer crowds, October provides a wonderful opportunity to experience Morocco's rich cultural tapestry and natural beauty.

Embark on a classic adventure cycling expedition in Morocco's arid Jebel Sahro region, strategically situated between the snow-capped High Atlas to the north and the Sahara to the south, offering an ideal cycling climate outside the summer months. Starting from Marrakech, we journey across the Atlas Mountains to Tinerhir and commence biking in the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge, renowned among rock climbers worldwide for its towering walls. Navigating surfaced roads and hard-pack jeep tracks, we venture into a remote mountain area, encountering nomadic Berber shepherds and panoramic views of the Atlas peaks. The route includes crossing the Tamtattouchte Pass (2615m) and descending into the stunning Dades Valley, known as the 'Valley of the 1000 Kasbahs.' Continuing on 'piste' roads, we pass through Boulmane Dades, glimpse the remarkable rock formation of Bab n'Ali (Ali's Gate), and reach N'Kob. A newly-introduced dirt road ride leads us directly to the Sahara-edge oasis town of Zagora, providing a fantastic off-road experience. With a flexible itinerary allowing time to explore Marrakech's souks and sounds, this cycling adventure is an ideal winter escape to Morocco and the captivating pink and ochre-hued mountains of Jebel Sahro.



Mountains and Volcanoes of Papua New Guinea 

Embark on a distinctive expedition that allows you to conquer both of Papua New Guinea's highest mountains in a single, carefully crafted journey, designed to showcase a remarkable variety of landscapes. Our exclusive trekking route ensures a unique and immersive adventure, starting with the ascent of Mount Giluwe, one of the Volcanic Seven Summits. We take a direct route to the summit, descending along a longer path to experience diverse landscapes. Engaging with the Melpa people in Mt Hagen provides insight into their daily lives, fostering a deeper connection with the local community. Venturing into the high mountains and valleys of Simbu Province, we are warmly welcomed into a remote village, offering another unique opportunity to interact with local tribes. Continuing our expedition, a newly established trekking route leads us to the country's highest summit, Mount Wilhelm, traversing various vegetation zones over a three-day trek and culminating in a sunrise summit experience. Beginning in the heart of the winelands, Stellenbosch captivates with its pretty Dutch architecture nestled amid lush vineyards. We explore the photogenic town, sample local wines, and enjoy vineyard walks before continuing to Montagu via the Franschoek Pass for a walk in the Mont Rochellen Nature Reserve. In Barrydale, we indulge in tasting the famous brandy of the same name before heading to the coast to potentially spot Southern Right Whales from our base in Hermanus. The return journey to Cape Town along the 'Garden Route' unfolds with cliffs, beaches, scenic walks, coffee delights, and excellent wines. Exploring the Cape Peninsula, we encounter African Penguins and possibly Cape Zebras on our way to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Julian Alps Jamboree - Family Adventure Chomolhari 

Experience an incredible family adventure in Slovenia, based in the charming town of Kranjska Gora at the foot of the Julian Alps, just minutes away from the Austrian and Italian borders. Once part of Yugoslavia, Slovenia shares more similarities with its Alpine neighbours than Eastern Europe. Our comfortable hotel with a swimming pool serves as a perfect base for a week of diverse activities. The adventure begins with a hike to Martuljek Waterfall, including a mountain hut lunch, followed by mountain biking near the Italian lakes and a thrilling descent on the summer toboggan in Kranjska Gora. A visit to the iconic Lake Bled adds an adrenaline boost with a 'high ropes' park experience.
