Enjoy the family challenge with sweat, indian colors and spicy food
Indian Himalaya Teenage Trek, Family Adventure
This trip is a grand combination of a challenging (but doable!) trek for families combined with a dip in buddhist culture in Ladhak as well as Mogul/muslin history in Agra including the splendid Taj Mahal. Our children (11, 13 J) enjoyed the company of the two other families as well as the cricket playing sherpas. Their highlight was the white water rafting tour in indus river. The design of the tour starting at over 3000 m including the preparation for the trek was very well fitting the the nee ds of families. We saw several great buddhist monasteries but also visited a school for Tibetan refuge children. Food remained Indian spicy but our cooking team indulge us with Indian-continental delights. Agra and Taj Mahal were full of most impressing historical and cultural information (more for the grown ups), but the kids enjoyed taking picture and dipping in the refreshing hotel pool. Thank you for the memorable tour and especially our excellent sherpa Uden in Lee.

A satisfying climb
Mount Triglav Weekend - Slovenia
A great long weekend trip, organised well by KE and their partner operator. Hotel Astoria was a good quality hotel, and perfectly situated in Bled for a pre- or post-climb exploration of the town and its lake (lake swim highly recommended if good weather). This was a lot of ascent and descent (walking poles very helpful) within the two days of walking, but the feeling of being in the middle (top) of the mountains, and the views and satisfaction of reaching the summit made up for some sore muscle s! An excellent group, two great guides (thanks Primoz for the photos you took of us) and a brilliant weekend trip to explore some of Slovenia's beautiful offerings. Highly recommended.

Magical place.....and this trip does not disappoint
Walking the Wild and Untamed Lofoten Islands
I don't think the Lofoten Islands could ever disappoint.....stunning landscape, friendly people, bird life, seafood. It's Norway so it was always going to be expensive but the welcome and the quality of the food and accommodation in Hamnoy and Hattvika made me feel like a special guest. To share the week with friends old and new, with a particularly entertaining pair of guides really topped it off. Prepare for boggy paths...there is a bit of slipping and sliding along the way. I recommend extend ing the trip...we had an extra day in Svolvaer, a few days on Hurtigruten and extra nights in Bergen and Trondheim but it has still left me wanting more...can'tdecide whether to go back for another summer trip or see what it holds in winter! I'd recommend a book called Explore Lofoten by Kristin Folsland Olsen but I'm haven't found it outside Norway yet.

A brillaint walking holiday in a magical landscape
Walking the Wild and Untamed Lofoten Islands
The holiday experience and itinerary was very well organised and the guides were really excellent and looked after the group extremely well. There was always an eye on safety and a lot of interesting information about the places we visited was provided. Though terrain was in places very steep walks were at a relaxed pace and not overly challenging so it was very easy to appreciate the gorgeous landscapes and nature surrounding us. There was a very interesting mix of people on the trip, many of w hom were very well travelled, so the social side of the trip was also very enjoyable The accommodation and food was generally excellent although I was blessed with a room to myself.

Remote, but worth every effort
Walking the Wild and Untamed Lofoten Islands
We were a group of 14, with two guides and two vans. Our guides, Marte and Stian, worked really well as a team and made the week smooth and pleasant. Catering for the group as a whole, as well as for the more challenged amongst us, was done in a gentle manner, thus keeping everybody comfortable. Being well versed in the local trails, nature and culture, they shared with us just the right amount of knowledge in a relaxed and balanced way. The hikes were relatively short, but included some very st eep ascends and descends. Most of the the trails included boggy parts. It could be nice to have more point-to-point routes rather than going up-and-down in the same trail. Accommodation in Reine and Ballstad were great while the one in Henningsvaer was of a lower standard. If you wonder what does it look like to stay in a rorbuer – just a tidy and packed wooden hut (no fish smells…). Dinners at the Krambua restaurant (Reine) and the Fiskekrogen restaurant (Henningsvaer) were good while the ones at the Hattvika lodge (Ballstad) were off the charts excellent, both in atmosphere and quality. Overall a great experience, consisting of breathtaking landscape, great guides and a group of very nice people, all like-minded nature-lovers.

Wonderful walking, great accommodation and a brilliant guide
Trekking the Ridges & Summits of Bulgaria

This is a brilliant trip and offers excellent value for money. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the accommodation used is excellent throughout. The guide (Ivo) is very knowledgeable and his organisation was excellent throughout.

Fantastic Family Fun in a Beautiful Country
Julian Alps Jamboree - Family Adventure
I choose KE adventure holidays because I feel they put together a programme of activities and give you an insight into the country you are visiting that it would be incredibly difficult to put together yourself and this holiday did not disappoint. David and Ales were fantastic guides - kind, supportive, flexible and funny. They were brilliant with the group on the activities, going out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. Our family's favourites were the white water rafting, moun tain biking, high ropes and grass toboggan. I am ashamed to admit I knew very little about Slovenia before I arrived but they imparted so much knowledge on history, music, customs and everything Slovenian .... and it is a truly beautiful country. They also made changes to the itinerary based on the weather, group's ability or our requests, to make sure everyone got the best experience possible during the week. Top marks to David for going above and beyond when he completed a 3 hour round trip to collect my daughter's forgotten bag with all her kit in on our last day!! On a practical note bring cycling shorts if you have them and we didn't need any base layers or special shoes for the white water rafting - it was all provided. We just wore swimming costumes under the kit provided. Also be prepared - everyone challenged themselves on this holiday - we were tired after the activities although incredibly satisfied.

A fantastic trip in a stunning part of Norway
Walking the Wild and Untamed Lofoten Islands
I have always wanted to visit Norway, and this was certainly no disappointment. The scenery is fantastic, with dramatic peaks and fiords nestling alongside colourful little fishing villages. The walking is generally fairly easy, but with a few steep and boggy sections. There was plenty of time for stopping to admire the scenery or take photos. The organisation was first class, and the local leaders were lovely- unfailingly helpful and informative. The accommodation was generally of a high standa rd and the food was also good, although we were offered whale meat on one occasion without warning (luckily they already knew I was vegetarian). I would certainly go back to Norway- just take lots of money if you want to buy any extras, in particular alcohol!

Hard work, but worth it.
Stok Kangri & the Markha Valley

A visually and physically rewarding trip. At least one previous high altitude trek/ climb would be an advantage to prospective climbers of Stok Kangri. The guide and remainder of the team - very professional, good food, and the horses well cared for.

A fine walking/trekking experience in theCanadian Mountains.
Canadian Summit Scramble
The trip did as was promised; so I stick at some plusses and minuses: + guides were experienced, nice guys + when cooking, they prepared the breakfast/lunch/dinner very well - the walking pace of the youngsters was higher then that of the rest of the group. So the group sometimes broke up to distances more then 100 yards. Something that should not be allowed by the guides because of bear-danger in the wooded parts. You should be prepared that sometimes, like said in the brochure, on certain days the program has to be changed because, like in our case, bush fires and/or bear warnings. That's no problem since our guides found excellent alternative scrambles. Finally you should realize that you are returning almost every night to a town, so don't expect quiet nights in the middle of nowhere, like we were used to have in Nepal or in the Andes. This may sound a bit negative: it was NOT. We liked this trip very much and we even saw a black bear !!

A brilliant week in the Alps squeezed into a weekend
Gran Paradiso Weekend
The Gran Paradiso trek is an excellent introduction to Alpine moutaineering - reasonable level of intensity (level 7 intensity is spot on), non-technical, yet a serious peak (just over 4000m) that requires physical endurance & offers some great mixed terrain (boulder fields, glacier trekking), while also giving you all the charm of the mountain hut experience. The organization was top notch; our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly experienced; we used Sunday to get in an excellent hike in the Chamonix valley rather than heading to Aiguille du Midi, which was a wonderful way to take in views of the full valley and add some miles and intensity to the experience. Advice: - arrive early on Thursday and get in a day hike in the spectacular Chamonix valley; plenty of excellent options within steps of the chalet - enjoy the chalet: sadly, because I was rushed for time, I missed out on the hot tub and sauna - you shouldn't - fitness: even though the level 7 intensity doesn't sound daunting, the more fit you are the more you'll enjoy the mountain. Also, even though the altitude is not Himalayan, there is no time to adjust if you are coming from flat land / sea level, so certainly advisable to have a run or two before you land in Argentiere.

Stunning scenery, volcanic eruptions and scrumptious Sicilian cuisine
Island Hopping Active Family Holiday in Sicily, Italy
Our family of 4 (children aged 9 and 11) enjoyed a great week on this activity to the Aeolian Islands of the North Eastern coast of Sicily and climbing Mt Etna. From start to finish it was well organised and led by an excellent local guide (Saro) who made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We did a number of walks up volcanoes and along spectacular coastlines which were 3-4 hrs in duration and manageable for all. Particular highlights were a sunset boat trip to view lava eruptions from the active volcano on Stromboli, excellent local food and wine and a guided ascent to the top of Mt Etna. There was also plenty of time to relax on the beach and swim in the warm sea. I would highly recommend the trip for adventurous families with kids of a similar age to ours who are okay with hiking.

Brilliant - especially for late teens/young adults in family
Family Adventures in the Algarve
On behalf of my family I'd like to say just how wonderful our time here was. We all loved every minute of it and we couldn't have ever designed a more perfect break for us. I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I agreed to go on holiday with my family (including 3 younger brothers) at nearly 21 years old but I can 100% say that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I know that very few 17/18+ year olds would ever consider a holiday with their parents (I was definitely in the sam e boat for a few years) but this place is something else entirely. For the first time in years I was able to entirely forget about exams/university and just relax. The activities, the food, the location… Everything was amazing and the chilled atmosphere allowed me to be a part of both the ‘adult group’ and also to just be a kid again. Jonny, Vio and their team were amazing and I cannot thank them enough for an absolutely fantastic week!

Great
Traverse of the Jotunheimen
Great trip, fantastic guides, Jakob and Sofie are a great team and have a very easy style as leaders. Weather can and does seem to change every minute of the day so be prepared for anything. Do not under estimate this trip I would rate it above a 7, I've trekked in many countries including Nepal, India, Pakistan, Corsica etc and even though you don't have the higher altitude the daily distances are a lot further in general between 15 -27 km on very rocky paths. Fantastic mountain huts.....more l ike a 5 star hotel, great food, hot showers, beds and a very expensive but tasty beer!

Memories that will last a lifetime
The Great Southern African Lodge Safari
, I wanted to thank you for the most incredible 3 weeks. My husband, son and I joined the tour which began in Livingstone on 30th July. I don’t know where to start ........ Our guides Phumi and Petros were outstanding in every way: their professionalism, high quality care, knowledge, organisation and enthusiasm were second to none, and I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks and comments to them once again. The accommodation and the meals provided by the guides were superb. We part icularly enjoyed the tree house accommodation. We loved the opportunity to interact with the local people too. This was made possible especially during the two nights camping on the Okavango Delta and the walks with the San Bushmen. Other highlights included the safari drives, especially in Etosha, and the Chobe River Game Cruise and the sand dunes of Namibia. There was nothing we did not enjoy, and we would not hesitate to recommend your company to others or to use you again in the future.

Huayhuash Heaven
Cordillera Huayhuash Circuit
We had excellent weather but windy at times. There are a few steep downs but the trail is generally in great shape. Campsites are incredibly scenic but usually the campsite has lots of cow, donkey and horse manure. In fact the entire trail is very scenic with snow capped mountains and beautiful lakes everywhere. Nearly all the trail is above the tree line. The food is okay but very salty. Even the fried eggs for breakfast are salty. Most snacks are sweet--either cookies or candy. I recommend bri nging your own snacks. Crew support is wonderful. I highly recommend this trek.

Inca Ruins
Choquequirao to Machu Picchu

Nice trek with marvelous Choquequirao ruins, sleeping on Inca terraces at Picha Unuyoc, etc. Weather did not cooperate, but the days with views were great. Guide Daniel was great. Trails at slippery when wet.
